About

I coach pastors and church leaders because I know what it feels like to lead alone.

MY STORY

I’ll start with some gut-level honesty. A few years ago I was ready to walk away from my ministry calling. Overcommitment combined with unhealed emotional wounds had led me to a place of deep discouragement. Then someone came along side me in a coaching relationship and everything changed. That same coach continues to work with me and the difference is tremendous. I still have my tough days but I’ve moved from wanting to quit to having fun doing what God has called me to do.

WHY COACHING MATTERS

Most pastors were trained to preach, counsel, and administrate. Very few were trained to care for themselves while doing all of that.

Coaching changed my life before I ever offered it to anyone else. Having someone who listened without an agenda, asked the questions I was avoiding, and helped me see what God was doing beneath the surface of my circumstances. That kind of relationship gave me clarity when everything felt foggy and courage when I wanted to quit.

That is what I want to offer to pastors and church leaders.

Not more content to consume. Not another conference to attend. A real relationship with someone who understands the weight of pastoral leadership and will walk with you through it.

WHAT I BELIEVE ABOUT LEADERSHIP

The leaders who last are the ones who learn to steward their own souls first. I have seen pastors burn out, flame out, or quietly fade because nobody helped them build the internal structures that sustain long-term ministry.

I believe leadership starts with formation, not production. The spiritual authority you carry flows from your inner life with God. When that well runs dry, no amount of technique or hustle can replace it.

I also believe that every pastor deserves at least one relationship where they do not have to perform. Where they can be honest about what is hard, what is confusing, and what is stirring in their heart without fear of judgment.

That is what coaching provides.

HOW I WORK

I serve pastors and church leaders through two areas: coaching and training.

Coaching is one-on-one. We meet regularly, and I help you identify your core calling, align your priorities, and make decisions with confidence. I ask hard questions. I listen well. And I pray for you between sessions.

Training is group-based. I lead workshops and intensives on leadership development, soul care, and ministry strategy for pastoral teams and church groups.

Every engagement starts with a conversation. No pressure, no pitch. Just an honest look at where you are and where you want to go.

A PERSONAL NOTE

I live in central Alabama with my wife and our three daughters. I love the local church. I have given my life to serving pastors and the communities they lead. And I have learned the hard way that you cannot pour from an empty cup.

If you are a pastor or church leader who feels the weight of leadership and wonders if there is a better way forward, I would love to talk.
