Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about coaching, what to expect, and how to get started.

What exactly is leadership coaching?

Coaching is a structured, confidential relationship where I help you gain clarity about your calling, make better decisions, and lead with greater confidence. It is not counseling, consulting, or mentoring. The focus is always on you: your goals, your growth, and your next steps.

Who do you work with?

I primarily work with pastors and church leaders. That includes senior pastors, associate pastors, church planters, ministry directors, and anyone in a significant leadership role within the local church. If you lead people in a ministry context and feel the weight of that responsibility, we should talk.

How often do we meet?

Most coaching relationships involve meeting one to two times per month. Sessions are typically 60 minutes, conducted over video call, phone, or in person if you are in my area. We will work out a rhythm that fits your schedule and your needs.

How long does a coaching engagement last?

That depends on your goals. Some leaders may want to work with me for three to six months around a specific challenge or transition. Others maintain an ongoing coaching relationship for a year or more. There is no contract. We will check in regularly to make sure the relationship is serving you well.

What does coaching cost?

I consider myself a donor-funded coach. People give generously to support my ministry through various avenues so I can give myself full-time to work with pastors and churches.

Do you work with churches as well as individuals?

Yes. In addition to one-on-one coaching, I offer training for churches. Reach out through the contact page or schedule a call so we can explore what would trainings might benefit your church..

Is coaching done in person or online?

Most coaching sessions are conducted over video call, which makes it easy to connect regardless of where you are located. If you are in central Alabama, in-person sessions are an option as well. For church training events, I am available to travel depending on my calendar availability.

What if I am not sure coaching is what I need?

That is completely normal. Most people who reach out are not 100% sure what they need. They just know something needs to change. The best next step is a free introductory call where we talk about what you are experiencing and figure out together whether coaching, or something else would be the best fit.

Is everything I share in coaching confidential?

Absolutely. What you share in a coaching session stays in that session. Trust is the foundation of every coaching relationship, and I take confidentiality seriously. You should feel completely free to be honest about what is happening in your life and ministry.

How do I get started?

Simple. Reach out through the contact page or schedule a free introductory call. We will spend about 30 minutes getting to know each other, and I will help you figure out the best next step. No pressure, no obligation.
